General Summary
Munsch Hardt is seeking an experienced, full-time Business Development Coordinator who will enjoy a highly visible position in its Houston office.
Working under the direction of the Houston Business Development Managers, as well as the Director of Business Development + Marketing and the Chief Business Development + Marketing Officer, the Coordinator will provide tactical support in the execution of a myriad of initiatives, including developing and updating practice group materials, proofreading materials, compiling pitch books, creating presentations, executing client events, and identifying PR opportunities. The ideal candidate is expected to have excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, be very detail-oriented, and possess a comprehensive understanding of strategic marketing goals and objectives. Requirements include a 4-year degree and 1-3 years of experience in a professional services marketing department.

Collateral Materials + Presentations – Assist in drafting documents for client meetings (i.e. written materials and PowerPoint presentations), creating bios and announcements for new hires, and collecting information for internal and external newsletters.

Database Management – Help with the implementation of the Firm’s CRM and experience matter collection systems by inputting and editing data and setting up mailing lists.

Event Management – Working with the Events team, assist with executing client events from beginning to end, which includes compiling invitee lists, distributing invitations, monitoring RSVPs, working with outside vendors, creating nametags, helping with check-in, and assisting attorneys with follow-up efforts.

Practice Group Materials – Assist in drafting new content for all of the Firm’s practice areas, collect and revise matter descriptions, and seek approval to use information externally.

Proofreading – Review and edit internal and external materials to ensure grammatical accuracy and consistency.

Sponsorships + Memberships – Help track and evaluate sponsorship opportunities throughout the year, collaborate with attorneys and external contacts to fulfill sponsorship obligations, and manage the Firm’s local and industry-focused memberships.

Survey + Award Submissions – Work with various practices in the Firm to help collect information and draft annual Chambers submissions for individual attorneys and practices.

Website – Assist with updating the website on a regular basis, which includes updating attorney bios with new representative experience and memberships; adding presentations to the “Newsroom”; and refreshing practice group descriptions as needed.

Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION
- Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related degree.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in a professional services, law firm, or media environment.
- The candidate must be able to live and work in Houston (no relocation offered and no remote candidates, please).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with a wide range of individuals with differing opinions and diverse personalities.
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Working knowledge of the following computer applications:
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop)
- CRM
