At Diversity Lab, we create and invest in innovative initiatives that boost diversity and gender equity in law firms and legal departments. Behavioral science, data, and design thinking are at the core of everything we do.

Diversity Lab's hallmark project – the OnRamp Fellowship – is the largest global re-entry program for women lawyers who want to return to the profession after a career hiatus.

To inspire others to develop and experiment with innovative initiatives such as the Fellowship, we launched the Women in Law Hackathon in 2016. This was a "Shark Tank" style pitch competition aimed at generating ideas to boost the retention and advancement of women in law firms. As a result of the Hackathon, several groundbreaking ideas – such as the Mansfield Rule – have been refined by the Lab and are currently being piloted at 44 prestigious law firms across the country. In 2018, the Lab is hosting two more diversity-focused Hackathons in partnership with Harvard Law School, Northwestern Law School, UC Hastings College of Law, and Bloomberg Law.
