Marketing & Communications Coordinator

About the Role:

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will support the initiatives of the Marketing Department, working in close coordination with the Director of Marketing & Communications and the Marketing team. This role offers the right candidate an opportunity to take ownership of a variety of marketing and business development initiatives in a collaborative environment and maintain direct interaction with partners and other key stakeholders. You’ll work as an integral part of a close knit, nimble team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Coordinate directory submissions and other surveys in close collaboration with the Director of Marketing & Communications as well as partners, including internal and external promotion of the firm’s legal adviser league table rankings.
  • Conduct research of prospective targets, industries, markets, competition and conflicts via firm-wide resources, online databases, and utilization of library resources
  • Assist with marketing content strategy and execution, including updating website and social media content.  Maintain marketing materials including practice profiles, attorney profiles, leave-behinds and more.
  • Actively support rollout of CRM system and creation of engaging communications, business development activities, targeted mailing lists and more.
  • Experience management: Participate in deal summary process of drafting, securing approvals from partners and posting website descriptions of the firm’s corporate matters, as well as litigation wins. Maintain and regularly update relevant targeted experience lists.
  • Coordinate the preparation of pitches, proposals, presentations and other client-facing materials, utilizing existing content and, when needed, creating new content.
  • Proactively track marketing and business development activities
  • Support other Marketing team and firm initiatives as directed, and support marketing and business development efforts with general administrative tasks as necessary.
  • Provide back-up services to the team on projects/tasks on an as-needed basis.


Requirements

Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat skills required. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, corporate finance work (capital markets, mergers and acquisitions) a plus.
  • Familiarity with accepted research techniques and databases typically used for competitive intelligence in a professional services company.
  • Experience working in or familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, corporate finance (capital markets, mergers and acquisitions) a plus.

Education/Training/Certifications (minimum required or preferred):

  • An undergraduate degree, preferably in a marketing, business, research, or communications-related field.

Minimum Years of Experience Required

  • 2-3 years or more of demonstrated success in a marketing, research, business development and/or communications-related field, either in the professional services (e.g., law, accounting, or consulting) or in a comparable position(s) in a financial institution or the corporate, trade association, or academic sectors.
